Bio

Mira Cole was born in Indonesia, moved to Hawaii as a young girl, stayed in the U.S. until her early twenties when she moved back to Indonesia. There she taught oil and water color painting and became well known for her selection of colors. One of her paintings is still on display in Munich, Germany at Deutsches Museum, Germany’s largest museum.

Back in the States for the past 10 years, she has been teaching knitting classes in Southern California. Realizing that so many of her students and clients trust her with color and pattern selection, she decided to dye her own yarn in 2011.

About Us

Baah! Yarns produces original hand painted yarns. Our color palette focuses on sophisicated color combinations inspired by nature. We believe they will appeal to a wide range of knitters. Currently we dye two weights, fingering and DK. LaJolla, the fingering weight, is 100% Superwash Merino, 100 grams/400yards. The DK weight, Sonoma, is also 100% Superwash Merino and 100 grams/234 yards 100. Each is machine washable, gentle cycle dry.

Currently based in Southern California, Baah! Yarn has become locally popular and is flying off the shelves. We are looking to expand outside our local area, hoping that your store will enjoy this new product. To get more information about this opportunity to bring our yarn to your shop, please contact us.
